Purpose of the event:

1. To directly introduce wine consumers to young wines and different wine styles.

2. To revive the culture of drinking local wines, which shine not with their varietal composition, but with their craftsmanship and characteristic differences in the terroir of Bulgaria.

3. Creating an attractive environment to draw young people to wine culture.

The wine:

Red, young wine – Cabernet x Merlot x Alicante x Syrah x Pinot.

White young wine – Chardonnay x Viognier x Muscat x Traminer.

Method of implementation – restaurants, small shops, rural pubs, hotels, and other places.

The designation is through posters for the establishment and flyers on each table.

Every customer who orders young wine on this night receives the first 150 ml glass free of charge.

The delivery is in 10L Bag in Box and the price is the same as for normal production.

Unsold wine on the night of December 4, 2010, will either be sold the following week or returned.

It is very important to have the participating restaurants in advance so that we can upload them to the information field and direct enquirers to the relevant restaurant.

At the moment, we have confirmation from seven restaurants in Varna and four in Haskovo, as well as all of Ivaylovgrad. We are awaiting confirmation of the number of establishments in Stara Zagora, Dimitrovgrad, Kardzhali, Plovdiv, Sofia, Velingrad, and Smolyan.

I know it’s quite difficult, but we need to create a culture and tradition through young wine – not with Beaujolais.

We hope that with your help, the media, and consumers, we can make “Young Wine Night” a traditional event in Bulgaria.
